About Istituto Fotocromo Italiano
The Istituto Fotocromo Italiano was founded in Florence in 1928 by the engineer Vincenzo Balocchi, a well-known amateur photographer and former artistic director of the Fratelli Alinari Company. Until 1980, the Company has printed artistic editions in the old traditional method of photo-typeset or collotypes, subsequently with the most modern and sophisticated printing methods. The Istituto Fotocromo Italiano is led by the same family and is now in its third generation.
